A great red for the season, this panne velvet from John Kaldor is a beautiful stretch fabric with a nice weight. Velvet is very on trend and this one is fantastic for dresses, tops, skirts and trousers.

The nap makes a tremendous difference to the shade of this fabric – one way it is a dark wine, the other it is a luscious red – just remember to be consistent when cutting out.
